Since early in 2020, I have been conducting all my mediations by online video and obtaining good results. Even when conditions return to normal, I shall continue to conduct mediations by video whenever the parties agree to it. In my experience video mediations result in successful resolutions as often as those where the parties physically sit down together. It just makes good sense to continue to benefit from the convenience and economy inherent in the video format: no one needs to travel, thus avoiding travel time, airfare, hotels and rush hour traffic; everyone is at their own workstation and can attend to other matters when not in active caucus; and no physical venue is required. Video mediations are here to stay.
